TENS pads should not be placed on or near the eyes, mouth, or throat, as these areas are sensitive and could lead to discomfort or adverse reactions. Additionally, avoid placing them on broken or irritated skin, over the heart, or directly on bony areas. It's also important to avoid areas with impaired sensation or where there is an implanted electronic device, like a pacemaker.
